Women’s Leadership Luncheon
Sister Debra Marie Sciano, leader of the Milwaukee Province, welcomed 126 guests to Notre Dame of Elm Grove on February 12, 2009. This was the largest turnout since the luncheon's inception in 1998. Participants enjoyed a delicious meal followed by a 30-minute presentation by Juliette Martin-Thomas, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist, college professor, distinguished community volunteer, poet, storyteller, and champion of human services for the marginalized. In her talk, “There is Power in Your Presence” she addressed reaching one’s fullest potential through the good each does. Every breath of prayer, every small act of goodness “shifts” the universe in the direction of God and love.
