March 19, 2009 – Iraq War Anniversary
In commemoration of the sixth anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq war, the Global Justice and Peace Commission (GJP) of the School Sisters of Notre Dame invited the public to join them in a prayer for peace and an end to global conflict. The March 19 prayer service was held at Notre Dame of Elm Grove followed by a public witness for peace by the participants along Watertown Plank Road.
