Jean Arthur Laubach, SSND
Professed in 1959

Sister Jean Arthur LaubachSister Jean Arthur celebrates 50 years as a School Sister of Notre Dame. She has ministered as musician, teacher and medical technologist.

A meaningful time in my ministry…
One of my most meaningful achievements was receiving my Medical Technologist certification in 1982 after three years of challenging courses and an internship at VA Hospital in Milwaukee. I am grateful to the community, especially Sister Jacqueline Buckley who supported me during that time.

What drew you to the SSND Community?
I attended St. Leo grade school in Milwaukee and greatly admired the sisters who taught me.

What would you like people today to know about the School Sisters of Notre Dame?
I’d like people to know that our mission is helping persons achieve their potential through the ministry of education in its broadest sense.

What is your current ministry?
I am a staff medical technologist at St. Francis Hospital. I work second shift with a wonderful team of about eight people. We service the entire hospital
